When attorneys select a mediator, they need more than someone who can carry offers between rooms. They need a neutral who understands litigation, recognizes the pressures facing counsel and clients, and can help the parties evaluate risk without losing sight of practical solutions.

I founded Middle Path Mediation Services after years practicing law in civil litigation, criminal defense, civil rights, family law, and other related matters. During my career, I have served as lead trial counsel on hundreds of civil cases, managed high-volume litigation, supervised attorneys and paralegals, and handled all stages of litigation.

That experience shapes how I approach mediation. I understand the work that occurs before the mediation conference: evaluating evidence, consulting experts, analyzing unsettled legal issues, managing client expectations, and balancing litigation risk against the possibility of resolution. I also understand that even experienced attorneys benefit from a mediator who arrives prepared, listens carefully, and engages meaningfully with the facts and legal arguments.

I am certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit, County, and Family Mediator and am also a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator. I conduct civil and family mediations remotely, offering attorneys and their clients a convenient and focused forum for resolving disputes.

My background also includes eight years of active-duty service in the United States Army as a military police supervisor and investigator, including combat service during Operation Iraqi Freedom. That experience reinforced the importance of preparation, composure, clear communication, and sound judgment - qualities I bring to every mediation.

At Middle Path Mediation, I create a productive process in which the parties can assess their positions honestly, communicate effectively, and explore resolutions that may not be available through continued litigation. Attorneys can expect me to respect their preparation, understand their advocacy, and work persistently to help the parties identify a workable path forward.
